Pure Scot’s owners, David and Sallie Prior, established the Prior Family Foundation in 2015 to create an enduring legacy of positive impact for future generations. With an overarching goal of preservation, the Prior Family Foundation supports wildlife and environmental causes around the world.
Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors are fighting to protect wildlife and natural habitats around the world. Established by the Irwin family in honour of Australian conservationist, Steve Irwin, the Prior Family Foundation has supported the initiative with $750,000 since 2015. The Prior Family Foundation’s primary focus is on the conservation of the Rhinoceros population in Kenya and the Sumatran Tiger.
Through Wildlife Warriors, the Prior Family Foundation is able to provide rangers and local villagers with resources necessary to reduce poaching and implement sustainable economic programs for villagers to cohabit successfully with the animals. The Prior Family Foundation and Pure Scot proudly support the groundbreaking efforts of the Black Mamba Anti-Poaching Unit, a female-led group of rangers in South Africa.
Greening Australia’s Reef Aid works to improve water quality on Australia’s magnificent Great Barrier Reef. Greening Australia, with the support of the Prior Family Foundation, works with landholders to rebuild eroding gullies and restore vital coastal wetlands across the catchment.
The Prior Family Foundation was the seed funder for this initiative, donating an initial $500,000 in 2015. Today Greening Australia has raised over $25 million for this much-needed work.
The Pure Scot team is dedicated to being a sustainable and environmentally responsible business. Internally we have launched a number of company-wide initiatives to help reduce our environmental impact.
